There is no parking with Harbour View Guest House, although you can load and unload outside any time (double yellow lines). It is not possible to use a Blue Badge as it is too busy a road during the day and causes problems with the flow of traffic
It is becoming much more difficult to park in Newlyn as the demand outstrips supply, particularly at peak times. The car parks tend to fill up quickly and there is very little on-street parking left, which is generally taken up by locals. For the first time in 18 years, I find it necessary to ask you to consider arriving by, and using public transport. You can get day/multi day passes (www.https://firstgroup.com/cornwall). If you need parking very close to Harbour View Guest House, then at times you may not find it (particularly the evenings). The Harbour Office need to increase revenue to fund their future projects and this has caused the unavailability of free or cheaper parking locally. Sandy Cove will soon be available as a paid car park. The access slope to it is no longer a free option.
Both the Harbour Car Park and St Peter’s Hill Car Park (80 yards past us, turn right) have hourly and daily parking rates. Please ask for the latest rates. At present, you can park in the latter from 6pm to 8am for just £1.50 – 24 hour rates are from £5.60. You can also park on the street further away at times.
